SEVEN YEARS WITHOUT YOU

SEASON 33

EPISODE 31

(Your Daughter Opened Up a Company (1)

“Don’t work yourself up, okay? I’ll get out this minute.”

Zeng Rou mumbled to herself as she walked out, “Such a miser; I only used his washroom.”

Su Yu was burning with fury but could do nothing about her.

“Who was home when you went to get the lychees?”

“Your mother and the housemaid,” An answered.

“Where’s my dad?”

“He’s supposed to come back tonight. What’s up? Do you want to move to your mother’s home?” An knew that his boss intended to leave.

“Among my other residences, where else can I live now?”

“You can live in any of them, but most of your stuff is either in the old manor or here. If you move to any of the other residences now, you’ll find it inconvenient to have none of your stuff at hand.”

“That fellow Tang Chuan’s house is fine. I’ll go and stay the night at his place.”

“I don’t think it’s a good idea. I heard Miss Qin Ning is living there.”

“But I thought Qin Ning went back to South Hill Manor.”

“South Hill Manor is crowded right now. It’s said they hired a few maids specializing in the care of pregnant women; besides, Qin Ning’s father hasn’t left yet. So, Mr. Tang used this excuse to get Miss Qin to move to his place.”

“Lucky bastard…” With his hands on his hips, Su Yu wondered where he should stay for the night.

“President Su, I think it’s useless to move. Miss Zeng will follow you anywhere you go. So, it doesn’t matter where you live, right?” An speculated.

“You have a point.” Su Yu stroked his chin and analyzed the situation sensibly.

“So, you’d better just stay in here. Miss Zeng is outside and can’t come in and do anything to you, right?”

“Get out of here. Don’t mess with me. I’m not in the mood…”

Finally, Su Yu stopped talking with him.

He seldom ate supper at home. In the evening, he usually took a few cans of beer and some prepared food from the fridge and ate while watching ball games.

Today was no exception.

However, Zeng Rou had other ideas. She ordered pizza, fried chicken, and beer with her cellphone and spread the food all over the picnic blanket. She even had a fruit salad.

“Su Yu… Su Yu…” she yelled at the gate.

“Go and see what the crazy woman wants. If she wants to use the washroom, just open the door for her.” Su Yu didn’t care to talk to the woman.

Following his instruction, An walked over to open the door.

“Miss Zeng.”

“I ordered some take-out. Ask Su Yu if he wants to have some beer and fried chicken.”

“Okay. Wait a moment.”

An trotted to Su Yu.

“President Su, Miss Zeng said she ordered take-out of beer and fried chicken and asked if you want to have any?”

“No ” Su Yu refused without hesitation.

“Miss Zeng, President Su said he’s not hungry,” An declined Zeng Rou politely.

“It doesn’t matter. You can eat with me.”

“Huh?”

“Let’s go. I ordered lots of food,” Zeng Rou invited him warmly.

“No, no, no. How can I eat your food?”

“Why not? Didn’t you give me two boxes of lychees?”

Before he could reply, Zeng Rou dragged him over like a bandit.

An was startled.

Su Yu watched TV for a while and found that there was no sound behind him. He yelled, “An? An?”

When no one answered, he stood up and walked to the French window by the front door.

Whoa! What a scene! Zeng Rou and An were enjoying themselves with a fried drumstick in one hand and a can of beer in the other hand.

“An, are you betraying me now for some fried chicken?” Su Yu opened the door and walked out with his hands clasped behind his back. He looked at Zeng Rou and then at An.
