SEVEN YEARS WITHOUT YOU

SEASON 31

EPISODE 4

(The Forgotten Deserted Island (4)

“The second question: is Huo Siqian really dead?”

“I don’t know. I really don’t know. He didn’t tell me anything,” Yan Ruoxi cried and shook her head.

Lu Yan’s knife pierced her left calf.

As pain struck her again, Yan Ruoxi looked frantic.

“Please, don’t kill me… No matter how much money you want, my Dad will give it to you…”

She looked shrewd but was only a spoiled girl; she kept talking about money as if her family had the most money in the world.

“Money? I’m not interested. All the money your old man made in his life is no more than what I make in one deal. I advise you to tell me the truth.”

“I really don’t know.” Yan Ruoxi broke down and cried.

“The third question: when did Huo Siqian begin his plan?” Lu Yan asked.

Yan Ruoxi didn’t dare to say she didn’t know because she saw Lu Yan was aiming a flying knife at her.

If it continued, she’d be covered in bloody holes. If she cooperated, she might live.

This time, she learned her lesson.

“Huo Siqian had planned for this for many years, but the execution of his plan began from our false wedding.”

“Very good. You are finally saying something useful.” Lu Yan nodded in satisfaction and glanced at Yan Ruoxi. “Go on.”

“I’ll tell you everything I know; please don’t kill me, okay?” Yan Ruoxi begged in tears.

“Tell me and I’ll see.”

Lu Yan’s voice was soft, but anyone would be scared by this voice.

“I was with Huo Siqian for years, but he kept many things from me. I only know that he loved Huo Mian in a perverse way and had been planning to get her. He must have been working on a big plan, but I don’t know the details. He just told me that marrying me is just a ruse… I thought he’d make a move on the day of the wedding, but he didn’t… Later, I moved back to my own home and separated from him. He never visited me after that… I think he was busy with his plan… Then one day, one of his previous lackeys sold the news to me for 200,000 yuan and said he was dead, jumping off the cliff with Huo Mian in his arms. That’s all I know.”

Hearing her words, Lu Yan was silent.

“Oh, I also know about his split-personality disorder.”

“Split-personality disorder?” Lu Yan looked up.

“Yes, he has split-personality disorder and takes a psychiatric drug to control it. If he forgets to take it and triggers this disorder, he will become a terrifying person.”

“Do you believe Huo Siqian died after he jumped off the cliff?” Lu Yan asked Yan Ruoxi.

“To tell you the truth, I’m not sure if he’s dead or not. There are many possibilities. He’s very sly and crafty, and this might be part of his plan. Another possibility is that if the other part of him took over, then anything could happen; after all, that part of him is capable of anything.”

“I see.” Lu Yan didn’t look surprised.

“If you want to know more, you can get Ah-Cheng who’s Huo Siqian’s trusted subordinate,” Yan Ruoxi said.

“I don’t need you to tell me what to do.” Lu Yan rolled her eyes at her. She had no positive feelings towards her at all.

“Boss, what do we do now?”

“Let her go,” Lu Yan instructed Paul.

“Let her go? Won’t she make trouble for us?” Paul looked like he wanted to kill Yan Ruoxi.

“Do you think she’s that bold?” Lu Yan smiled in contempt.

Then she stood up and walked to the door. “Psycho Qiao, let’s go.”

“Boss, I’ve prepared a place for you to stay.”

“No. I have more important things to do.” Lu Yan walked downstairs dashingly and disappeared.
