(The Twins Versus the Manipulative Bimbo (3)

“Siqian, come sit…” Mr. Xiang said; it was obvious that he still respected Huo Siqian.

The latter nodded with a smile. “I haven’t seen you in a long time, how have you been doing?”

Before Mr. Xiang could respond, Mo Xue’er cut in, “My godfather’s health is amazing, why else would he save me? He’s unlike someone who doesn’t have a heart and can disregard everything that’s happened, abandoning me like a dog on the streets…”

“Xue’er, let’s not talk about that. Come, let’s have dinner.” Mr. Xiang patted Mo Xue’er’s hand before heading towards the dining room.

When Mo Xue’er walked past Huo Siqian, she glanced at Yan Ruoxi, her expression murderous and filled with hate.

The latter, however, completely ignored Mo Xue’er’s deadly glare, laughing and chatting with Huo Siqian as they linked arms.

“Siqian, who is this?” Mr. Xiang glanced at Yan Ruoxi upon taking a seat.

“Oh, this is…” Huo Siqian barely finished his explanation when Yan Ruoxi interrupted, introducing herself, “Mr. Xiang, my name is Yan Ruoxi, I’m Huo Siqian’s girlfriend.”

Mo Xue’er immediately sneered, “Daddy, President Huo’s girlfriend isn’t just any other socialite, she’s Mayor Yan’s daughter… It’s interesting, President Huo’s dead ex-wife was the mayor’s daughter as well. I guess he’ll only ever end up with mayors’ daughters, don’t you think?”

Huo Siqian looked at Mo Xue’er’s provoking expression without an ounce of emotion; he wasn’t mad at all.

Yan Ruoxi, on the other hand, was young and ungrounded, and therefore she was immediately angered by Mo Xue’er’s words. “Ms. Mo, you’re wrong. Siqian likes me for who I am, it has nothing to do with who my father is… I know it’s not because I’m the mayor’s daughter.”

“Haha, yeah? You should be careful then, Ms. Yan, I once saw a fortune teller who said that President Huo’s women always end up badly… Look at what happened to me and Song Yishi. You should take good care of yourself…”

“Mo Xue’er what are you talking about!” Yan Ruoxi demanded angrily; she didn’t think Mo Xue’er would curse her in front of everyone.

Huo Siqian pinned Yan Ruoxi down. “Ruoxi, calm down, Ms. Mo is joking with you.”

“You sure know me well, President Huo. It’s not shocking, though, since we slept together for so long and know each other well,” Mo Xue’er snickered.

Soon, Mr. Xiang changed the subject and began chatting to Huo Siqian about business. Dinner passed by in extreme awkwardness – Yan Ruoxi didn’t touch anything, not even the glass of water placed before her.

Halfway through dinner, Huo Siqian stood up apologetically. “I’m sorry, I have to use the restroom.”

“Of course.” Mr. Xiang smiled.

Mo Xue’er stood up as well. “Me too, Daddy.”

Upon seeing this scene unfold in front of her, Yan Ruoxi wanted to stand up as well but was stopped by Mr. Xiang. “Miss Yan, you should keep eating.”

It seemed like Mr. Yan was creating a chance for Mo Xue’er to talk to Huo Siqian in private.

Angry, Yan Ruoxi had no choice but to sit back down; she didn’t want to harm Huo Siqian’s reputation in any way.

– Inside the giant bathroom on the first floor –

Mo Xue’er pounced at Huo Siqian as soon as the latter walked in, biting his shoulder as hard as she could like a crazy woman.

To her surprise, Huo Siqian didn’t dodge her. He just stood there, like a sculpture.

“Huo Siqian, why did you do this to me? I was by your side for so many years, and I did so much for you! How can you abandon me like that!” Mo Xue’er demanded, her voice trembling with tears.
