(Sweet love(1)

The four of them were astonished by her confusing statement.

"What do you mean?" Derek nudges Jackson with his elbow. "Just tell us already, Jackson!"

Jackson simply smiled at Derek but stayed silent.

"Cherry, what's the big news? We're dying to know!" Selina asked Cherry. Cherry was the more dominant of the two and Selina knew she needed to use the right words to encourage Cherry to open up.

"Are you sure you want to know?" Cherry stared into their eyes, one by one, and slowly repeated her question, "Do you really want to know?"

"Yes! Just tell us already!" Amy demanded. She knew Cherry had good news and she wanted to know now.

"I'm pregnant," Cherry announced with a smile on her lips and eyes.

"What!" Selina's jaw dropped.

"Are you serious?" Amy couldn't believe it.

"For real, man?" Derek asked.

Wilson, who stood next to Jackson, cheered and patted Jackson on the back.

Cherry's eyebrows knotted in confusion. She turned to Jackson but kept her eyes on their friends, "Jackson, what's going on?"

Jackson smiled and gave Cherry a peck on the cheek. "Maybe we should ask them," Jackson answered.

Selina shook herself out of her shock. She rushed to hug Cherry.

"Congratulations! I'm so happy we're gonna have a new member in our family!"

Cherry released Selina's hug. "It's my child and Jackson's, not yours and Wilson's. Have your own child. And when they're born, they can play together, or compete with each other!"

Selina was taken aback by Cherry's reaction and it took her a while to respond. "Oh, right."

It was Amy's turn to hug Cherry. "I'm so happy for you, Cherry!" Amy let go but kept her hands on Cherry's shoulder and forced Cherry to look into Amy's eyes."It's more important now for you to take care of yourself, now that you're pregnant.

You've got one more person to worry about now!"

"Of course, I know that, Amy. You know me best. I won't let this little one down," Cherry stroked her belly and smiled at Amy.

"Well, your news certainly trumps my getting-married news. Congratulations!" Derek beamed at Cherry and Jackson.

Wilson clapped his hands. "Jacob and Elsa are going to be thrilled with your news! Have you told them already?"

Cherry turned to Jackson with a smile that won't leave her lips and squeezed his hand. "We're telling them this afternoon."

Jackson nodded. "Yes, we can't wait for them to find out!"

"We need to celebrate this amazing news, Cherry! What do you think? Shall we have a party?" Selina asked Cherry, as she tried to salvage her reaction earlier.

Wilson echoed Selina's plan. "Oh yes!

We have so much to celebrate, my marriage with Selina, Derek and Amy getting married, and now, Cherry and Jackson are having a baby!"

"I already booked a private room for us at lunch, shall we go and celebrate over a delicious food?" Selina declared.

"Selina, that's so thoughtful of you. You're such a good friend," Cherry praised Selina.

Having redeemed herself, Selina nodded at Cherry. "Thank you, Cherry. That means a lot."

"Shall we go? I think someone's getting hungry." Cherry looked down at her belly, while she stroked it.

"Let's eat!" Selina gestured to everyone.
The six friends bounced out of Selina's office.

After lunch, everyone, but Derek and Amy, headed over to the Yuwen's home.
Jacob and Elsa's smiling faces greeted Cherry, Jackson, Wilson and Selina at the front door.

Cherry ran to Elsa and into Elsa's waiting arms for a hug, as soon as she stepped out of the car. "Mom!" She turned to Jacob for another warm hug. "Hi, Jacob."

"I'm so glad you're back, Cherry," Elsa remarked as she wrapped her arms around her daughter again.

"And you, too!" Elsa reached her arm out to Jackson, who just joined them. "Hi, Elsa," Jacob accepted Elsa's hug.

He reached out to shake Jacob's hand. "Hi, Jacob." Jacob beamed at the two of them. "I'm glad you guys are back, too," Jacob said.

Selina appeared behind them but hesitated to approach them. She held out her hand to Elsa. "Hello, Elsa, Jacob."

"No need to be so formal, Selina. We're family, after all," Elsa reached for Selina's hand and pulled her for a hug. Selina settled into Elsa's hug. She smiled at Elsa, when the older woman let go. Elsa draped her arms around Selina and Cherry, with a grin that never left her face since they arrived. "My two girls. I'm so happy you're both here."

"I'm so happy to be here, too, Mom. Now let's get inside before we all catch a cold!" Cherry suggested as she studied Elsa's face, who was still mesmerizingly beautiful. Cherry noticed a few wrinkles on Elsa's face though and can't help but suddenly worry about her mother. And now she suddenly regretted the times when she said no to her mom's invitation because of her work. Now that Elsa has a grandchild to look forward to, she can't help but wish her mom would live longer so they can all be together.

"Great idea, Cherry, we shouldn't keep everyone standing by the front door! Come on, Jackson, Selina, before we all catch something," Jacob ushers all of them inside.

"Right behind you!"

Elsa ushered them into the parlor, where there were tea and biscuits waiting for them on the coffee table by the couch.

Cherry stepped inside and marveled at the decorations in place. There were beautiful paintings and photos on the walls. There were bookshelves filled with books and small trinkets. There were lots of comfy chairs surrounding a big soft couch in the middle, with potted plants on both sides. Big windows lit up the parlor naturally.

"Mom, Jacob, did you do all this decoration?" Cherry exclaimed, as she admired the photos on the walls. "It's beautiful!"

"It was hard work but it was really worth it, for Selina." Elsa turned to Selina, "What do you think of the parlor? Do you like it?"

"Like it? I love it! Everything is just so beautiful," Selina rushed to hug Elsa and Jacob. "You shouldn't have gone through all this trouble, though."

"Oh, it was all worth it! Besides, we had a bit of help with this project," Elsa winked at Selina. Elsa was fond of Selina, who has always been considerate, polite, and warm-hearted.

And she was happy Selina had a great relationship with Wilson and Cherry. Her well-educated background certainly had a lot to do with it. "I'm just so happy you love it!"

"Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. We really appreciate it," Selina mused.

"You are very welcome, Selina," Elsa replied.

Cherry pretended to pout and crossed her arms. "Now, I'm jealous. You and Jacob used to pour all your attention on Joe and I. Now it's all Selina."

"Aw, I still love you and Joe, Cherry," Elsa reached out to Cherry, who rushed to her for a hug. Elsa sometimes worried about Cherry, who still continued to act like child, even though she is now a mother herself.

"I love you, too, Cherry," Selina added.

"Well, I'm glad!" Cherry exclaimed.

"How come all four of you arrived together? Were you with each other before you got here?" Jacob wondered.

"Well," Wilson explained. "We were meeting Cherry and Jackson this afternoon because they wanted to know about our wedding. And when we saw each other, Cherry and Selina said they wanted to visit you both. We just decided we'll come here instead."

"Good decision! Because we are so happy to see you," Jacob hugged Wilson with a one-arm side hug. "You guys should visit us more often. Your mother would appreciate that." Jacob strode to Elsa's side and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"Yes, we definitely will do what we can to visit you more often from now on," Cherry smiled at Elsa and Jacob.

"How is Joe, by the way, Cherry? Is he studying well?" Elsa inquired of Cherry's son, Joe.

Cherry shrugged her shoulders. "He's alright. He's a smart kid, whether he studies or not. So I don't really worry too much about that part."

Elsa's eyebrows knotted in worry. "Joe is still a young boy and it's important that he gets a good education at his age. Remember that," Elsa reminded her.

"Don't worry, Mom," Cherry reassured her. "Joe's going to be fine. Besides, Jackson is here to help raise him, too."

Jackson's nostrils flared at Cherry's words, but he could only breath out a resigned sigh when his beloved wife gave certain instructions.

"That's good that you're parenting him together. That's always better." Elsa held her palm against her heart. "Oh, and I heard Joe is learning the piano? How's that going for him?" Elsa asked Cherry and Jackson.

"Well, his teacher says he's doing really good. We'll find out soon," Cherry answered. "He's taking a piano test soon. So we'll know if he's been practicing."

"That's good to hear." Elsa nodded.

Selina noticed that Cherry hadn't mentioned to Elsa and Jacob about her pregnancy. She turned to Cherry, "Cherry, are you-?"
