Season 13

(Young Master Huo’s Big Wedding (8)

“Why?” Amused, Huo Mian glanced over at Xiaowei.

“She can put on an act, no matter what situation she was in… I’m impressed by her, none of us are as good as she is in this respect… Her acting skills are amazing. Tsk tsk, she can basically laugh and cry on command… I bet even she’s immersed in her acting. What a great love scene. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought she and Huo Siqian were really in love…”

“Hahaha…” Huo Mian and Wei Liao both burst out in laughter upon hearing Jiang Xiaowei’s remarks, but she was confused. “What are you guys laughing about, don’t you think I’m right?”

“Yeah, you’re completely right, Dr. Jiang. Stop with the commentary though, let’s watch their wedding in silence,” Wei Liao said helplessly as he held his loving wife in his arms.

The priest on the stage asked Huo Siqian earnestly, “Mr. Huo Siqian, do you take the beautiful and gentle Song Yishi as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?”

Huo Siqian took in a deep breath in as he looked at Song Yishi with an amused expression on his face.

After a couple of seconds, he said, “Yes, I do,” but his expression was filled with disdain…

“Miss Song Yishi, do you take the handsome Huo Siqian as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?”

At this moment, Song Yishi turned her head to look at the audience, and her gaze landed on Qin Chu…

Huo Mian put her head on Qin Chu’s shoulder in a provoking manner and smiled at Song Yishi sweetly, promoting the latter to immediately turn her head around, her expression as grim as can be…

Then, she unwillingly said, “I do.”

“Now, the bride and groom will exchange rings.”

The rest of the wedding was filled with formalities; it was obvious neither of their hearts were in it.

Huo Mian attended countless weddings, including Liu Siying’s, but this wedding was the most awkward one she had been to, as she felt zero love between the married couple.

During their reception, Huo Siqian and Song Yishi began toasting all the tables.

When they got to Huo Mian’s table, Song Yishi ignored Huo Mian as she raised her glass at Qin Chu and asked, “Qin Chu, I got married. Are you happy for me?”

Her face was smiling, but her voice was filled with grief…

Qin Chu, on the other hand, lifted his glass and glanced at Huo Siqian as he said formally, “Congratulations.”

“Thank you.” Huo Siqian smiled. Then, he walked up to Huo Mian and teased her, “My little sister is so pretty today.”

“I’m ugly compared to your bride.” Huo Mian smiled.

“How big is the red pocket you are giving me as a wedding gift?” Huo Siqian asked, and Huo Mian was immediately speechless. She awkwardly replied, “You shouldn’t be so straightforward. You’re too rich to care about money.”

“You’re my favorite sister, I have to expect more from you, right?”

“Alright, don’t worry, I wasn’t cheap…” Huo Mian felt speechless, while Huo Siqian looked at Huo Mian gently as he glanced up and down her body. In his opinion, Huo Mian looked pretty in whatever she wore, whether it was an innocent-looking school uniform or a sexy cocktail dress.

“Congratulations to the two of you.” Huo Mian raised her glass at Huo Siqian and Song Yishi.

However, Song Yishi ignored her and turned around to head over to the next table…

As always, she treated Huo Mian with extreme hostility.

“Um… your new bride’s got a hot temper…” Huo Mian smiled helplessly while Huo Siqian said, “Don’t worry, no matter how hot her temper is, I’ll be able to tame her immediately.”

Then, he left…

“They look weird together, not only do they not love each other, they look at each other like they’re enemies… I wonder how bad their wedding night is going to be…” Jiang Xiaowei analyzed while Huo Mian laughed and replied, “That’s not something we should worry about…”

Jiang Xiaowei was just kidding, but that night…

Huo Siqian’s private mansion was decorated luxuriously; from now on, they would be living here.

Song Yishi was in a bad mood as she sat down on the bed, still wearing her red qipao.

Huo Siqian pushed open the door and walked in towards her as he ripped the tie off his neck.

Cautious, Song Yishi stood up and glanced at him icily. “What do you think you’re doing?”
