Season 6

Episode 60

(Who’s Secretly Taking Photos (10)

“Mom… I know what I’m doing. If you agree with me that I’m not an idiot, then trust my judgment, okay?”

“Chu… I’m telling you…” Before Mrs. Qin could finish her sentence, her son cut her off.

“Yang, my mom looks tired, please escort her out,” Qin Chu commanded icily.

“Yes sir.”

“Mrs. Qin, please come with me. The president has important documents to sign.” Yang carefully watched as the mother-son duo bickered; he didn’t want to piss either of them off.

In the end, Mrs. Qin had no choice but to leave…

Then, Qin Chu went back to his work…

Towards the end of the day, Qin Chu turned off his computer and asked Yang, “Tell me, if your mom and your wife fall into the water at the same time, who will you save first?”

“Um… sir, are you joking with me?”

“Hurry up and answer.”

“My mom, of course,” Yang replied confidently.

“You’re so filial.” Qin Chu was surprised that Yang, who seemed to really love his wife, would choose his mother without hesitation.

“Because my wife knows how to swim, haha.”

Qin Chu, “…”

“No month-end bonus for you this month.” Then, Qin Chu got up to leave.

“Sir, you can’t cut my bonus just because you’re not happy with my answer… Fine, I will choose my wife then.”

“No month-end bonus for you next month either. You’re so unfilial,” Qin Chu answered in all seriousness.

It was like a lightning bolt had struck on a sunny day…

“Sir, if you wanted to cut my bonus, you can just tell me. I never know how to answer these questions.” Yang grieved.

“I recorded our conversation just now, I’m going to send it over to your wife in a bit.”

“Holy sh*t…” Yang almost exploded with anxiety.

“Sir, tell me what you want me to do, I can be your cattle or horse… but please don’t torture me like that.”

“You don’t need to be my cattle or horse, but… remember in the future not to let my mother into my office for no good reason.”

So that’s what it was all about; Yang let out a sigh of relief…

“Don’t worry, sir, next time your mom comes, I will immediately chase… no, I will immediately ask her to leave. I promise that I won’t let her in your office, even if she yells at me until I cry.” Yang was willing to do anything for his bonus.

“Okay.” Qin Chu nodded in satisfaction.

“But, what if the chairman comes? Should I chase… no, wait, should I ask him to leave as well?” Yang wasn’t sure how to deal with a situation like that.

“No, my dad never comes for no reason.”

Qin Chu knew his father well; he was a diligent person, and unlike his mom, he would never make a big deal out of a small matter and then announce it to the whole world.

After leaving GK, he didn’t go home, because Huo Mian wasn’t home. She had been working night shifts recently.

Therefore, he drove to South Side. It was deep into autumn and the night air was a little chilly.

The temperature was low; Qin Chu was wearing a limited edition navy blue leather jacket, with a white shirt underneath.

He was good at dressing himself; after all, as long as one was good-looking, anything would look hot on him.

“Are you still at work? Let’s go out for a drink.” Gao Ran sent him a WeChat message.

“No, I’m with my wife tonight,” Qin Chu replied arrogantly.

“Hey, poison-tongued Ling said that your wife’s been working night shifts.” As the captain of the criminal investigation unit, Gao Ran’s information was always up to date.

“That’s why I’m at the hospital with her.”

“Sh*t… I can’t stand you. You always find ways to make my life sad, don’t you? Does it make you happy?” Gao Ran exclaimed in disdain and then hung up the phone.

Huo Mian was reading documents in her office – they were charts for people with depression, and she was trying to come up with a treatment plan for Ni Yang.

She smiled sweetly when she answered her phone.

“Honey, do you miss me?” Qin Chu asked on the other end.

“I do,” Huo Main replied with a smile.

“Do you want to see me?”

“Of course, let’s video chat.” Then, Huo Mian picked up her phone to switch to video mode when the doors of her office suddenly opened. On the other side of the door was her gorgeous, one in a million husband.

“You…?” Huo Mian was absolutely delighted.
