Season 6

Episode 67

(Qin Chu’s Retaliation (7)

After calmingly glancing at the news, Huo Mian nodded. “I know about it.”

“Does your husband know that something’s going on with you and Su Yu? Is that why he’s retaliating?”

Huo Mian almost spat out a mouthful of miso soup upon hearing Zhu Lingling’s question…

“Since when was something going on between me and Su Yu? Girl, your storytelling skills are good, you should work as a paparazzi. Being a flight attendant is a waste of your talents.”

“What I mean is… anyone can tell that Su Yu’s into you, did that piss off your Mr. Qin?”

Huo Mian nodded quietly… Her husband was indeed pissed off, or else, with his arrogance, he would never venture into the entertainment industry for no good reason.

“I think it’s because Su Yu openly asked for a dance with you as his prize for the final round on the Gamble God cruise. He’s really got guts. I would lose my cool too if I were your husband.”

“Su Yu’s like that. Most of the time, he’s really childish and straightforward, and his emotions are all shown on his face. He’s really wild, but I’m used to it.”

“Hey… sounds like you know him pretty well. Let me tell you, you cannot fall for Su Yu. Although Su Yu’s family is really rich and powerful, and Su Yu’s really hot… Mr. Qin has been head over heels in love with you for a decade, so you can’t have a change of heart,” Zhu Lingling said earnestly.

Huo Mian looked at her and laughed, “Don’t worry, even if the mountains crash and the earth cracks, I still won’t leave Mr. Qin.”

“Then I can be at ease, haha.”

“Have you and a certain policeman began dating recently?” Huo Mian glanced at Zhu Lingling and asked.

“No, I swear.”

“It’s fine if you don’t tell me, but Gao Ran and Mr. Qin always hang out, and he tells my husband everything.”

“That big mouthed man…” Zhu Lingling gritted her teeth.

“Try to see where things go, and don’t let anything or anyone screw it up.”

“That’s not going to happen, who else is going to fall for him? He’s so sharp-tongued and never gives others an easier time. He always bickers with me when we’re together.”

Upon mentioning Gao Ran, Zhu Lingling didn’t speak from her heart; instead, she criticized him.

Huo Mian smiled but didn’t say anything…

After dinner, they both drove off into different directions. Huo Mian thought it was too early to head home, so she drove to GK.

– GK Headquarters –

“Young Madam,” Yang obediently greeted Huo Mian.

“Is he in there?”

“Yeah, he is, you can go right in.”

Huo Mian nodded. Then, she went up to his office and knocked on the door.

“Come in.” Qin Chu’s magnetic and sexy voice sounded from inside.

As soon as Qin Chu looked up to see Huo Mian, his expression softened…

He got up and walked up to her, taking her hands in his. “Why are you here? I thought you have the night shift today, so why aren’t you resting up at home?”

“I slept until noon, and then had lunch with Lingling, so I’m not sleepy. I don’t have work until a little while later, so I wanted to come and see you.”

Qin Chu pulled Huo Mian to sit down on the leather couch in his office…

Huo Mian took out the snacks she bought on her way here and placed it on the coffee table. “Honey, your afternoon tea.”

“Good girl…” Qin Chu caressed her head, his expression filled with uncontrollable happiness.

“Honey, I want to discuss something with you.”

“Agree to it first, then I’ll tell you.”

Huo Mian, “…”

“Are you copying me?” Huo Mian smiled as she looked at how cute Qin Chu was being right now.

It was true that Qin Chu learned the technique of “act first and report afterward’ from Huo Mian, but it really worked…

“If you don’t agree, then I’m not going to tell you.”

“Okay, you don’t have to tell me then,” Huo Mian said on purpose.

Qin Chu looked like he was wronged, “Honey, you’re bullying me, it always works on me when you do it.”

“Haha, I’m kidding, just tell me.” Huo Mian laid her head on Qin Chu’s leg and lied down on the couch.
