Episode Twenty Five
Vanessa left me stranded, rushed away to God knows where. It hurt a little that she couldn't trust me to help her with whatever problem she had. I waited for hours thinking maybe, just maybe she might actually get back. When I realised she was obviously not coming, I went back to school. Classes were almost over when I arrived so I went to my next so it wouldn't seem like I actually missed a day of school. Zac eyes were on me as I took a seat close to him.
"Where have you been." He nudged his head upwards.
"Needed to get away for some time, I'm back now."
"Good." He beamed.
"Remember Skylar, Zac is your best friend. He's always been there for you, just do this for him." I chanted in my head like a mantra.
"Have you picked a girl yet?" He asked, I shook my head.
"Well Skylar, I see the obvious person in front of you." He was staring at someone stylishly, I followed his gaze and it landed on Sasha, she winked noticing I was staring at her.
"Zac wasn't wrong, with Sasha I wouldn't even have to stress myself, hell I've banged the girl so it was a done deal. If I wanted to win this for Zac, I would definately picked her. I pryed my eyes off staring at a hopeful Zac.
"Alright, I'll do it." He grinned and I forced a small smile.
"Thank you dude, seriously."
"Of course." I responded and we focused on class.
When the final Bell was rung, I did everything as slow as possible. I thought it would be like in the movies when the girl comes at the last minute and changes her mind, I imagined Vanessa bursting through those doors and telling me she doesn't want to back out anymore. I waited and she never showed. Students were already heading home and the ones that could wait were at the locker room. I closed my locker softly, out of time to stall. I took a deep breathe and walked towards the locker room with my hands in my pockets.
On getting there, girls pushed themselves to me, I guess they were trying to show me how busty and endowed they are to make me choose them. I ignored all and got to the centre.
"Please Vanessa....." I trailed off in a thought.
"Just one look and her and I won't have to do this." I pleaded softly. To everyone else, I was checking out the girls in the crowd to pick but in reality, I was actually searching for Vanessa. I checked for some time, I thought I saw her actually but when I looked again it was just some girl.
"She isn't here...." I shrugged and made up my mind. I picked Sasha. Everyone presumed I would pick her so it didn't really come as a shock, she was originally my first choice so it seemed as if the game was just starting. As per tradition, I was suppose to seal it off with a kiss, the one Vanessa had denied me. I didn't feel up to it at all, Sasha didn't seem to care as she crashed her lips on mine kissing me furiously. I kissed her back weakly, I had to do this for Zac. It might hurt but I just had to do this. From the corner of my eye, I saw her retreating, I did. Or maybe, possibly maybe it was imagination telling me I lost her completely although she was never mine but the game brought us closer in a weird way and now I'm starting all over with another girl.
"Game on Sasha." I pulled away and smirked at her.....
